The Bigger Picture: Another Look at an Icon

Using an ultrawide-angle lens allows for a photo of the west side of the University of Virginia’s iconic Rotunda that is normally not seen – or at least not in a single view.

An ultrawide lens compresses what the eye cannot take in at once into a shot that we can, giving a new perspective on a familiar building – and once again proving that the Rotunda has no bad sides.
