The Bigger Picture: Autumn Leaves

“Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.”

That’s how author Carol Bishop Hipps writes about the month that ends in just a few days. In October, we delight in the flickering glow of jack-o-lanterns on cool evenings, revel in the delight of a warm pumpkin spice latte and rediscover favorite toasty sweaters and sweatshirts. (Or perhaps shorts and T-shirts, as unseasonably warm weather hung around Central Virginia for a few days.)

And in October, Grounds never disappoints.
