June 22, 2012 — Crews will install a new sewer line along Emmet Street beginning Monday.

Construction will take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., in the area of the University of Virginia's Central Grounds Parking Garage, with flaggers directing traffic in and out of the garage. During the day there will be no obstructions. The garage will remain open during construction.

A temporary detour for vehicles will be established to access the alley between the garage and Memorial Gym. Pedestrians will be rerouted to the west side of Emmet Street.
