Data from three unpublished studies make a compelling case against common assumptions that colleges are hotbeds of alcohol abuse and that fraternity and sorority members are the least responsible alcohol-consumers on campus. The studies also refute the notion that scare tactics are the best way to deter alcohol abuse among students.
