December 16, 2010 — Traffic on Jefferson Park Avenue will be affected by a construction crane next to Jordan Hall at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
The crane, which is needed to lift equipment onto the roof of Jordan Hall, will occupy both eastbound lanes of Jefferson Park Avenue, between Lane Road and Lee Street, until 6 a.m. on Dec. 20. Both eastbound lanes will be closed and two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Pedestrian traffic will be shifted to the north side of Jefferson Park Avenue and the bus stops will be moved closer to Lee Street while the crane is in place.
The Jefferson Park Avenue entrances to Jordan Hall and the Health Science Center Library will be closed during this time. Inside Jordan Hall, lecture rooms 1-5 and 1-14, as well as classroom 1-17, the west elevators, elevator lobby, associated rest rooms and the seventh floor will all be closed while the crane is in place.
