Curry School Wins Grant for Leadership Case Studies

Nov. 21, 2006 -- The U.S. Department of Education’s Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education has awarded a $945,624 grant to help U.Va.'s Curry School of Education create a database of educational leadership case studies.

To address a widespread need for educational leadership program improvement, the project will create new cases within an online learning environment called ETIPS (www.etips.info), designed to complement and enhance teacher preparation programs. The ETIPS platform allows the application of decision-making theories within virtual yet realistic school settings.

Sara Dexter, assistant professor of technology leadership and Pamela Tucker, associate professor
of administration and supervision, are the principal investigators.
