April 30, 2007 -- Bring a blanket and enjoy some sunshine and jazz on Wednesday, May 2, from noon to 3 p.m. from the steps of Old Cabell Hall.
The end-of-year extravaganza will feature performances by members of the jazz chamber ensembles at U.Va. Jazz student groups, under the direction of Peter Spaar, Mike Rosensky and Jeff Decker will perform works by such greats as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Sun Ra and Charlie Parker.
