UVA’s Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center announced two 2020 Distinguished Alumnae as UVA marks two important anniversaries for women at the University.

Architecture student Taylor Thompson began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity at age 16, to honor his late mother. He has gotten more deeply involved, and is spending his summer with the organization’s Washington, D.C. advocacy office.

Norris’ record of research, teaching,administration and mentoring has extended over 22 years at UVA and its School of Engineering and Applied Science.
