Media Advisory: Gov. McDonnell To Speak Friday at U.Va.’s Batten School

The University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy will host Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell as the 2013 Graduate Batten Council Speaker. McDonnell will offer brief remarks on Friday, April 5, at 4:30 p.m. in the Garrett Hall Great Hall. This is not a public event, but media are welcome. This will be an opportunity for students to engage the Governor and discuss public policy challenges. 

The Graduate Batten Council Speaker Series brings to Grounds leaders representing a variety of policy-related fields. 

Previous Batten School speakers include U.S. Congressman and Majority Leader Eric Cantor, former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, and the late Ted Sorensen, special counsel to President John F. Kennedy.
