Melting Snow With a Passion for Salsa (Video)

The University of Virginia is a long way from Puerto Rico, but you can still find a hot Latin dance scene – even in the dead of winter.

The University Salsa Club – voted the “most fun” student organization on Grounds three years ago – holds weekly practice sessions for beginning and intermediate dancers, and thrice-weekly social gatherings for members to step out, swing and swirl. On a recent snowy Saturday, the group hosted Latin dance enthusiasts from all over the East Coast at its fourth annual “Salsa Fest.”
