April 8, 2010 — A memorial service for Charlotte H. Scott, professor emerita of commerce and education at the University of Virginia, will be held on April 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Memorial Church in Charlottesville. Scott died on March 11.

She and her husband, Nathan, came to Charlottesville in 1976. They were the first tenured African-American faculty members at U.Va.
