In Memoriam: Ann Antrobus

January 3, 2012 — Ann Rector Antrobus, 69, who served as the registrar for the University of Virginia from 1994 until 2000, died Dec. 25 in Charlottesville. She was born May 5, 1933, in Clinchburg.

Antrobus began working in the registrar's office in 1975 as an hourly worker. After she became the registrar, she ushered in electronic student record-keeping at U.Va.

Antrobus earned her master's degree at U.Va. in 1979 and an undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary.
