November 19, 2008 — John Jarvis English Jr., 63, senior project director with the Partnership for Leaders in Education, died Nov. 15 in Charlottesville. An alumnus of the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, English enjoyed a career of educating students, teachers and administrators in several Virginia school systems, including the counties of Orange, Albemarle, Clarke and Fairfax. After retirement, English joined the Partnership for Leaders in Education, a joint program of the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and the Curry School of Education.

A celebration of his life will be held Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. in the University of Virginia Chapel.
