February 4, 2011 — Norman A. Jones, a career CIA officer who later taught Russian part-time at the University of Virginia, died Jan. 6 in Irvine, Calif. He was 82. He had been a longtime Falls Church resident and moved to Irvine in 2004. He taught at the Northern Virginia Center of U.Va.'s School for Continuing and Professional Studies and at George Mason University.
