June 30, 2009 — Dr. Peyton Edwin Weary, 79, died of cardiac arrest on June 26 in Charlottesville.

Weary was a dermatology professor at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, serving from 1958 until 1999. He was chairman of the dermatology department from 1976 until 1993, retiring as Emeritus Professor of Dermatology.

A memorial service for Weary will be held at 11:30 a.m., July 1 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
