In Memoriam: Theodore Eliot Keats

February 3, 2011 — Dr. Theodore Eliot Keats died on Dec. 10 in Charlottesville. He was 86.

Keats came to the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1964 to chair the Department of Radiology and held the position for 29 years, working at U.Va. for a total of 47 years. At the time of his death, Keats was Alumni Professor of Radiology, actively working in the department until the week he died.

A memorial celebration will be held on Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall auditorium.
