February 7, 2008 — John Paul Jones Arena is partnering with University Human Resources to offer students, faculty and staff at the University of Virginia discounted tickets to selected shows and events at the arena.

In order to take advantage of this new benefit, eligible participants who go online or call to purchase tickets can use the promotional code "ONGROUNDS" to qualify for the discounts for selected shows, including upcoming events such as Cirque du Soliel’s Saltimbanco, Monster Jam, and the Harlem Globetrotters. In addition, individuals can receive the discount by showing a University ID when purchasing tickets at the arena box office.

The discounts will vary based on the event, and tickets will be available in selected seating sections. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively.

A special Web site — www.johnpauljonesarena.com/documents/jpj_uvasupergroup.htm — provides information on those events that are eligible for discounts. A link is available to purchase tickets from that site.
