Plans This Saturday? Start Your Weekend With Something New

Maybe you’ve been binging Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” in preparation for the new season. Or maybe you got up way too early to see England’s women’s World Cup team best Australia’s squad. Or better still, you were traveling to Charlottesville on Wednesday to see the University of Virginia’s field hockey team take on Longwood University.

That means you probably didn’t have time to open your email to see UVA Today’s Daily Report newsletter. That’s OK. Starting this Saturday, a new publication called UVA Today Weekend will catch you up on all things UVA.

Every Saturday, we’ll round up the best of UVA Today into a single edition. You’ll get the stories you might have missed, including how an incoming first-year law student helped his dad get a GED, or how a triathlete got back to racing after a double-lung transplant at UVA Health.

Plus, we’ll offer our faithful never-miss-an-issue readers something new. This Saturday, you can read about a summer class at UVA that taught students, and even student-athletes, the physics behind why curveballs curve and the best launch angle to nail a 3-pointer, which could come in handy for the five UVA basketball players who took the course.

Each edition of UVA Today Weekend will have all this and more to keep you connected to that Wahoo life. Look for it Saturday in your email.
