The social media maelstrom that took place during the men’s basketball team’s game against Duke University on Saturday was intense – and University of Virginia fans were smack in the middle of it.

Quite happily, as it turned out.

From diehard alumni to national media members, to celebrities and politicians, to Coach Tony Bennett’s famous Twitter impersonator, everyone was weighing in on the No. 2 Cavaliers’ first win at Duke’s Cameron Indoor Stadium since 1995, a 65-63 thriller over the then-fourth-ranked Blue Devils.
