August 4, 2010 — Milling and repaving of Alderman Road, between Stadium Road and George Welsh Way, is scheduled to begin Thursday at 6:30 a.m. This work is part of the Alderman Road utility project and is expected to be completed by the end of the day.
Also, beginning the week of Aug. 9, the portion of Chancellor Street between Madison Avenue and Rugby Road, which currently allows two-way travel, will change to permit one-way travel in the eastbound direction only. City workers are expected to re-line the street, designating an area for pedestrians and bicyclists to travel separate from vehicles.
Whitehead Road will be reduced to single lane of traffic east of Geldard Drive during daytime hours Aug. 5 through 8. The restriction, to accommodate underground utility work, will be repeated Aug. 14 and 15.
Flagmen will conduct traffic during business hours. After hours, traffic will resume a two-lane pattern.
