As the University of Virginia enters the second week of the fall semester, the University Transit Service, which operates the University’s bus system, has enhanced some of its offerings.
Fall weekday UTS service features seven routes with more than 7,500 people boarding on a typical weekday.
“After more than a year of reduced routes, we are excited to increase service,” said Becca White, director of UTS. “This academic semester will be the first time many of our students – first-years and others – utilize the transit service, so we hope the service changes will give them ample opportunity to get where they need to be.”
Many students and other passengers utilize the TransLoc Rider app, which provides access to real-time scheduling and line availability using a smartphone.
