University of Virginia to Host Traveling Sustainability Exhibit

June 30, 2010 — The University of Virginia will host the Big Green Bus, a waste vegetable oil-fueled touring coach, on July 2 at Newcomb Plaza.

The Big Green Bus, a Dartmouth College student project making its sixth annual cross-country tour, promotes sustainability through simple lifestyle changes that conserve money, energy and resources through improving efficiency in everyday activities.

The bus will be at Newcomb Plaza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Representatives from U.Va. Sustainability, Green Dining and the University’s Community Garden will be on hand to discuss sustainability with passers-by and the visiting Dartmouth students.
