January 4, 2012 — One lane of Edgemont Road near the upper entry to the Slaughter Recreation Center at the University of Virginia will be closed for utility work from Thursday through Jan 13.

The lane will close at 7 a.m. each day and traffic will be directed through the remaining lane by flaggers until 6 p.m., when both lanes will be open. The excavation site will be filled with gravel or covered with a steel sheet during the night.

The road will remain open to traffic, but the work may cause slight delays.
