U.Va. Architectural History Professor Awarded Visual Arts Fellowship

February 24, 2010 — Cammy Brothers, associate professor of architectural history at the University of Virginia, will spend the 2010-11 academic year in Washington, D.C. as a research fellow at the Center for Advanced Study of the Visual Arts.

The center is a research institute at the National Gallery that fosters study of the production, use and cultural meaning of art, artifacts, architecture and urbanism, from prehistoric times to the present.

Brothers is the author of the award-winning book, "Michelangelo, Drawing, and the Invention of Architecture," published by Yale University Press in 2008.
