U.Va. Presents Public Performance by Its New Dance Program

March 26, 2007 -- The Drama Department at the University of Virginia presents “Dimensions: An Experimental Dance Concert” with choreography by students and faculty members Rose Beauchamp and Marianne Kubik. The performance — scheduled for March 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. in the Music Resource Center, 105 Ridge Street in Charlottesville — will include pieces ranging in styles from modern to ballet to hip hop. This varied collection of dance will be the first production of the newly formed dance program at the University. The Music Resource Center, residing in a renovated church, offers a unique setting for dance with a nontraditional backdrop.

A reception to kick off the dance program will follow the Thursday evening performance. Community members are invited to attend.

Admission is free and seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
