U.Va. Wins Top Fundraising Award

Aug. 1, 2008 — The University of Virginia is a 2008 winner of the CASE WealthEngine Award for Overall Performance in Educational Fundraising.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education, a professional organization for development and communications professionals, announced the awards at its national assembly July 13-15 in New York City.

U.Va. is among eight public and five private research institutions recognized with the overall performance award, including Cornell and Johns Hopkins universities, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and University of California, Berkeley.

CASE's membership includes nearly 3,400 colleges, universities, independent elementary and secondary schools, and educational associates in 60 countries around the world.
