June 11, 2008 — On Wednesday, June 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, the University of Virginia will host "U.Va. WORKS: An Employment Information and Resource Fair." The event will provide information about the wide array of faculty, staff and temporary employment opportunities available at U.Va.
Community members who attend can:
• Learn about current U.Va. job openings
• Meet with Human Resource representatives from departments in both the Medical Center and academic side of the University and speak with U.Va. employees about their experiences
• Learn how to navigate the application process and receive assistance applying for employment opportunities online
• Work with Spanish interpreters for assistance
Parking is free and the Omni Hotel is serviced by three Charlottesville Transit Service bus lines.
Participants may enter a raffle and light refreshments will be provided.
