After the last group of graduates walks the Lawn on May 20, the University of Virginia’s Class of 2018 will scatter around the country and around the world.
Some of these newly minted alumni will start their first job. Among them are future aerospace engineers, web developers, bankers, teachers, nurses, reporters, conservationists and many, many more.
Some will continue their education at prestigious graduate programs around the world, from the sunny quads of Stanford University to the stone hallways of Oxford.
Others will serve their country, moving from UVA’s ROTC programs to take their place in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines, or serve local and international communities through organizations like the Peace Corps and Teach for America.
Still others will continue to hone the talents that set them apart on stage (fourth-year student Mimi Robinson is ready to take on Broadway) or on the court (like standout basketball player Isaiah Wilkins and his fellow student-athletes).
