Nov, 2, 2007 — Voters who usually come late to the University Hall polling station may want to cast their ballots earlier this Tuesday.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, but across Massie Road from University Hall, the John Paul Jones Arena will host a concert by The Police, with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. There will be no change in traffic patterns, but local officials are concerned that voters may get caught in concert traffic.
The University Hall polling place is just inside the main doors of U-Hall, on the building's south (arena-facing) side. University of Virginia Parking and Transportation officials will set aside 25 parking spaces near the main entrance, with another 20 spaces in reserve, for voters.
The polling district encompasses about 1,600 registered Albemarle County voters.
