Wahoo Welcome: The ultimate guide for all new Hoos

Once new students get moved in at the University of Virginia this week, the action will really get started.

The University and student organizations have an incredible package of get-to-know-UVA events that kick off Wahoo Welcome, which runs during the first several weeks of the fall semester.

“I think it’s one of the most welcoming opportunities we provide that lets new students get easily connected to everything we have at UVA,” Dean of Students Nicole Hall said.

The student-run University Programs Council is a big part of Wahoo Welcome, something Hall values. “I think there’s something very special about events and programs planned by students for other students. They can do it in a way (administrators) wouldn’t be able to do,” she said.
