Authorities are lining up a mass search starting Saturday for missing University of Virginia sophomore Hannah Graham. It's the first time authorities have officially invited the public to help find her.As the search for Hannah Graham expands, people here are hopeful for a miraculous outcome. More people means more eyes and ears on the ground-- and hopefully a clue that will help find Hannah.
James Madison University lent its support to the University of Virginia community during its student-led vigil for Hannah Graham Thursday evening.The JMU Student Government Association organized the event where students sang “Amazing Grace,” spoke freely about their concerns and lit candles as a show of solidarity to bring Graham home. 
...On Wednesday Sept. 17, members of the West Potomac softball team met before Back to School Night to paint the school’s rock with handprints and the words “Bring Hannah Home,” hanging her special senior softball on a nearby tree. “That was an emotional moment,” said Craig Maniglia, Graham’s softball coach at West Potomac. 
A candlelight vigil in Alexandria Thursday night was a time for the community to come together for missing University of Virginia student, Hannah Graham.Dozens attended the event at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Dennis Perry says students at West Potomac High School, where Graham graduated in 2013, initially asked the church to host a prayer vigil just for them. ... Maniglia says another vigil is already being planned at the school softball field for some time next week. 
At Aldersgate United Methodist Church, nearly 200 people prayed and sang for the safety and well-being of missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham."I believe that she's strong, she's safe,” said Craig Maniglia, Hannah's former softball coach at West Potomac High School in Alexandria. “She'll figure it out if she can, if the opportunity presents itself. She'll be smarter than whatever situation she's in.”

"Talk to each other," Sullivan said. "And if there is someone in your life whom you love, tell them that tonight."
... Dean of Students Allen Groves said he remains hopeful. "Hannah we believe is still out there, and we want to bring her back and have everyone focused on this case." He said the university will continue to emphasize to students that they should always inform friends where they are going and what time they will arrive. 
State emergency management officials are seeking volunteers for what they call a mass search Saturday for a missing University of Virginia student.The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is organizing search volunteers in hopes of finding leads in the disappearance of Hannah Graham. Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy J. Longo says a police search of a vehicle led to the ongoing search of a Hessian Hills apartment in the investigation of Hannah Graham's disappearance.Longo told reporters that police obtained a search warrant for a vehicle on the property last night. While they were taking it out of the parking lot to be searched later, they found probable cause to obtain a warrant to search the apartment.He did not specify the cause.Longo said police are searching all four units at 164 Hessian Hills Way, which he said is connected to a person of interest in the case....
