The researchers measured their mood on a seven-point scale (with 7 being extremely satisfied) and found that avengers scored 1.5 points lower than other players who didn't get a chance to retaliate, according to results published in 2008 in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Charlottesville police are looking into an attack on a woman waiting for a ride early Saturday near Rugby Road, the latest in a string of crimes in the University of Virginia area. According to authorities, the woman had called UVa's SafeRide program for a ride around 3 a.m. Someone grabbed her from behind as she was walking on Barracks Road near Rugby, police said, but she was able to fight him off.
