University of Virginia Panel to Discuss Eco-Footprint on Oct. 19

October 14, 2011 — The University of Virginia's ecological footprint will be the subject of a lunchtime panel discussion to mark Campus Sustainability Day, Oct. 19.

The brown-bag event, to be held at noon in Newcomb Hall's Kaleidoscope Room, will feature Andrew Greene, University sustainability planner, who will talk about the University's built environment; Kendall Singleton, U.Va. Dining's sustainability coordinator, who will discuss dining services; professor Paxton Marshall of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science, who will outline curriculum development; and Cheryl Gomez, energy and utilities director at Facilities Management. A question-and-answer session will follow each brief presentation.
