February 17, 2011 — One lane of Rugby Road will be closed Feb. 22 to accommodate the installation of an outdoor sculpture by Henry Moore at the University of Virginia Art Museum.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the southbound lane will be closed from Bayly Drive to Fayerweather Hall so a crane can install the artwork. Flaggers will direct traffic during the installation.
The sidewalk on the west side of the street will also be closed.
The courtyard on the Rugby Road side of the museum has been under renovation for the past two months, including the addition of a paved terrace above the sidewalk to display public art.
