April 28, 2010 — The University of Virginia's Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership and Piedmont Virginia Community College will host a public discussion about politics and policy in Virginia. The event will be held May 3 at 7 p.m., in the Main Stage Theater at Piedmont's V. Earl Dickinson Building.
From Confederate History Month to issues of transportation, education and health care, audience members will engage in a Q&A with some of Virginia's most senior political journalists, including Bob Lewis of the Associated Press, Chelyen Davis of the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star, Christina Nuckols of The Virginian-Pilot, Adam Rhew of NBC 29 and Anita Kumar of the Washington Post. The event will be moderated by Bob Gibson, a long-time political writer and current director of the Sorensen Institute.
This event is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by State Farm.
