February 25, 2007 — The General Faculty Council will hold its annual election n March for seven new representatives in the following areas: administration (1), athletics (1), engineering (1), health professionals (3), and arts & sciences (1).
To be eligible, a candidate must have been a non-tenure track faculty member for at least one year. Anyone interest in running for the General Faculty Council or wishing to nominate a a candidate should contact a member of the GFC Elections Committee: Robin Kuzen, Chair rhk2e@virginia.edu; Pam MacIntyre, pam2n@virginia.edu, or Ellen Ramsey, ellen@virginia.edu.
The mission of the General Faculty Council (GFC) is to represent the non-tenure track faculty at the University. This group includes academic, administrative, professional, research and health professional faculty. There are more than 1,800 non-tenure track faculty members at U.Va.
