Summer storms might make Grounds a bit damp, but they also make for some different photo opportunities.
University of Virginia photographer Sanjay Suchak took this shot of the Rotunda while walking on the Lawn after a recent rain shower. A well-placed puddle allowed him to capture UVA’s iconic centerpiece and its reflection in one shot, with the white marble columns and the spreading branches of a nearby tree all neatly mirrored.
