The University of Virginia men’s basketball team will fly to Orlando, Florida, this week for a first-round match on Thursday in the NCAA Tournament.

The Cavaliers are the No. 4 seed in the South Region. They’ll face No. 13 Furman University at 12:40 p.m. The game will be broadcast on truTV.

The Cavaliers, who earned a regular-season Atlantic Coast Conference co-championship and finished as runners-up in the ACC Tournament after losing Saturday evening to Duke University, return to the national tournament after missing out on the event last year.

The team won the 2019 national championship, but the pandemic canceled the event the following year. Last season, the Wahoos failed to qualify and instead accepted a bid to the National Invitation Tournament, or NIT.
