The Tony Bennett Era in Photos

On Friday, University of Virginia’s Tony Bennett announced his retirement after 15 years, capping the most successful basketball coaching career in the school’s history.

In his final news conference, he spoke fondly of his first days on the job, the ups and downs of building a national-caliber program, and his fondness for his players and staff. One person who has been with Bennett the entire time is University Communications photographer Matt Riley. After the press conference, Riley compiled his favorite images of Bennett through the years.
