Rainy days on the University of Virginia’s historic Lawn aren’t always the best for prospective-student tours, but for a photographer they can offer opportunities to view Grounds in a new way. A recent heavy morning rain left a portion of the Lawn inundated by a large, leaf-filled puddle. Wading into the puddle and placing the camera slightly above the surface gave us this colorful fall reflection of the Rotunda and Pavilions I and III.
