December 9, 2010 — To provide employees with a few extra days to participate in the 2010 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, the deadline has been extended until Dec. 20.
"In the last week, more than $100,000 was generously donated by U.Va. employees," said Jim Fitzgerald, associate director of community relations and campaign chair. To date, employees have donated approximately $570,000 toward the goal of $725,000.
Employees can pledge online or turn in red envelopes to their area's representative. Payroll deductions begin with the first paycheck in January. To ensure proper processing, all pledges must be received by Dec. 20, Fitzgerald said.
