Learn More About Healthy Eating in 'Hoo's Well Eats Well' Class

March 6, 2012 — The University of Virginia's employee wellness program, Hoo's Well@ is offering a class, "Hoo's Well Eats Well," on Tuesdays from March 13 to April 17 at two locations.
 
One class will be held from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at Fontaine Research Park, 545 Ray C. Hunt Drive, room 2318. The other class will take place from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in Ruffner Hall, room 241.
 
Taught by registered dietitian Jodi Harris of U.Va.-WorkMed, the weekly sessions consist of 35 minutes of nutrition information plus 20 minutes of light exercise that does not require changing clothes.  
 
The class is designed to help employees put into action effective ways to improve weight, health and fitness and to reduce risks for heart disease, cancer, diabetes and other illnesses.  
 
The six-week course is free to employees and their spouses on the U.Va. health plan. Those participating in the Hoo's Well@ program may earn $25 if completing a qualifying Aetna "To Do" list item.
