February 18, 2009 — William Lee "Bill" Viar, 81, died Feb. 16 in Charlottesville. After a rewarding career with Dupont, Viar, an alumnus of the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science, returned to U.Va. as an adjunct faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He also served as superintendent of power facilities for the University.
