For the second year in a row, the Princeton Review has named the University of Virginia’s student health services No. 1 in its 2025 Best Colleges rankings, released Tuesday.
Unlike the publication’s other rankings, which are based on institutional data and college administrator’s estimations of peer schools, these new rankings are based completely on surveys of 168,000 students in the 2023-24 school year.
UVA’s Student Health and Wellness is housed in a new, 156,000-square-foot building that includes four units: Medical Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, the Student Disability Access Center and the Office of Health Promotion.

The Princeton Review ranked the top 25 schools in 50 different categories, including Best College Dorms and Friendliest Students.
Earlier this summer, the review named UVA the No. 1 Public School for Financial Aid. It also recognized UVA as the No. 3 Best Value Public University and the No. 4 public school for Best Career Placement. The review also named the University the No. 4 public Best Value College for Students With No Demonstrated Need.
Tuesday’s ranking comes on the heels of several other recent accolades for the University. In June, Forbes placed UVA on a list of “New Ivies,” schools that provide the prestige and quality of an Ivy League education.
