September 30, 2009 — U.Va. Human Resources' new University Staff plan features market-based pay, a focus on employee development, new ways to get pay increases and a flexible leave plan. The 2009 election period will run from Oct. 1 to Oct. 30.
Eligible classified staff and administrative & professional faculty will receive election packets at their home addresses, including a brochure, a letter with a link to their side-by-side comparison and the market range for their position and an election form.
University Human Resources will be holding three open sessions in early October for you to learn more about the Plan and what changing over might mean for you.

Each session runs from 9 am to 11 am. There will be a PowerPoint presentation followed by Q&A. Benefits Counselors will be available to answer specific questions.
