February 25, 2008 — The University of Virginia will test an outdoor public address and siren system on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at approximately 9 a.m. at Scott Stadium, located on Alderman Road.
Residents near the stadium will likely experience the most sound.
The test, a demonstration of a system the University is evaluating as part of its emergency mass-notification system, may include a series of different siren tones as well as voice amplification.
