Scott Stadium was the place to be Saturday as not one, but two, Final Exercise ceremonies for University of Virginia students in the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences took place.
The large number of students necessitated both morning and afternoon sessions, in order to meet public health requirements under state coronavirus policies.
For some, the ceremonies began with pre-procession events with “Ms. Kathy,” a beloved figure at the Newcomb Hall dining facility. The students then took part in the traditional procession down the Lawn before continuing to Scott Stadium via McCormick Road, Engineer’s Way and Stadium Road.
