Crews will move scaffolding at the University of Virginia’s Academical Village starting Wednesday, which will generate noise and disrupt parking.
The scaffolding, which was in place for work on the Lawn chimneys and sprinkler installations, will be removed first from Mews Alley between Pavilions I and III. Crews will then take the scaffolding from Poe Alley on Thursday and Patterson Alley on Friday.
No parking will be permitted in these alleys from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on those days. U.Va. Parking and Transportation will coordinate alternate parking for permit holders and non-permit holders parked in these areas will be towed.
Walkways to the Lawn and Pavilion gardens around these alleys will be closed to pedestrian traffic to ensure safety.
