May 22, 2009 — Kevin Hart, Edwin B. Kyle Professor of Christian Studies at the University of Virginia, has published a new volume of poetry, "Young Rain."
Hart, who was born in England and raised in Australia, joined the U.Va. faculty in 2007 and participated in the latest Virginia Festival of the Book in March. Called one of the finest poets writing in English today by former U.S. Poet Laureate Charles Simic, Hart has published more than a dozen books of poetry, literary theory and religion.
He earned degrees from the Australian National University and the University of Melbourne.
