University Offers Admissions, Financial Aid Seminar for faculty and Staff

If you are the parent or guardian of a high-school-aged student, or if you are an adult interested in continuing your education, please consider attending a special financial aid event for University of Virginia employees. There is no charge to attend this event, and the information is relevant to financial aid at U.Va. or any other college or university. The details are provided below.

What:  Understanding College Admissions and Financial Aid

When: Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 (previously scheduled for Tues., Jan. 11)

Time:  5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where: Nau Hall 101 in the South Lawn Building

Parking: Parking is available starting at 4 p.m. in the K2 lot behind Nau Hall.  Enter the parking lot from Brandon Avenue. 

Who (is invited): All University employees who are interested in learning more about undergraduate or graduate financial aid. This information will be helpful whether attending a four-year college, community college or career/technical school. Financial Aid administrators from the University of Virginia, along with representatives from the U.Va. College Guide Program, will host a workshop to discuss the admissions process for these types of schools as well as discuss options for making education affordable. Information will be provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as the College Board's CSS PROFILE application.

Supervisors are encouraged to be flexible with employees who wish to attend this event.
